This composition contains cefixime and ornidazole which is mainly used to treat gastrointestinal infections such as dysentery or diarrhoea.

Cefixime causes the inhibition of mucopeptides synthesis which helps in the cell wall synthesis.

Ornidazole is useful for protozoal and bacterial infections.
It kills the parasites and anaerobic infections that prevents the infections by damaging their DNA.

Mechanism of Action-

Cefixime inhibits the peptidoglycan which is responsible for bacterial cell wall cross linking and then synthesis.
Ornidazole reduces nitro group and it catalyses the interaction between ferredoxin and nitro compounds.
