SARBEN LOTION

This composition contains Gamabenzene hydrochloride and cetrimide used for the management of scabies, scabies is major infestation of skin which is caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei and produces lesions, papules. It is commonly spreaded by school children and relatives.

Gamabenzene Hydrochloride belongs to the class of ectoparasiticides. It works by killing the mite and lice.

Cetrimide belongs to the cetrimonium class and is the derivative of quaternary ammonium citrate and is used as antiseptic.

Mechanism of action-

Gamabenzene works by directly absorbed on the exoskeleton on the parasite and it blocks the gamma amino butyric acid thus leads to overexcitation and further paralysis or death of the parasite.

Cetrimide destroys the cell membrane by lowering the surface tension and thus causes the denaturation of proteins.
