This composition contains Ambroxal hcl, guaiphenesin and Levosalbutamol which are used to provide relief from the cough that contains mucus. It decreases the volume of sputum and also decreases viscosity.

Ambroxal is the used mainly for respiratory conditions and is known by mucolytic agent. It produces its action after 30 minutes of administration.

Guaiphenesin is an expectorant and they work by enhancing the output of sputum by decreasing adhesiveness and surface tension of the material.

Levosalbutamol is beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist and is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Mechanism of Action-

Ambroxal works by breaking down of the mucus with the help of mucopolysaccride acid thus makes the sputum thinner and thus promotes its expulsion by coughing.
Guaiphenesin irritates the gastric vagal receptors and evokes the efferent parasympathetic reflexes thus elicit exocytosis which contains the mixture of the thin mucus.
Levosalbutamol is beta-2 agonist and R- enantiomer of Levosalbutamol. it works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes to increase air flow and provide relief from shortness of breath.
