This composition of folic acid, calcium lactate and vitamin B12 is used in combination to treat the deficiencies arises due to certain disease, illness, medications or pregnancy. It fulfils all the requirements of body and aids in the treatment of anemia and hypocalcaemia mainly.

Folic acid is vitamin B9. It is involved in the production of red blood cells and is used to treat anemia and low blood levels of folic acid. the deficiency of folic acid is very common in people suffering from the digestive problems, kidney and liver disorders or who abuse alcohol.

Calcium lactate is the source of calcium basically but is also indicated as antacid. It is also come to use when there is inadequate level of calcium in the body which is due to some disease conditions such as osteoporosis, rickets and by the decreased activity of parathyroid gland or in latent tetany.

Vitamin B12 is known as cyanocobalamin and mecobalamin and belongs to the vitamin B family. It is required for the energy production and involved in the synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid. The deficiency of the vitamin causes neurological manifestations due to absence of this vitamin in the fat and protein metabolism.

Folic acid is converted into methyl tetrahydrofolate and tetrahydrofolate by the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase which are then transported into the cells and maintain erythropoiesis or synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid and ribonucleic acid.
Calcium lactate is absorbed by passive and active diffusion in the jejunum part of the small intestine and then it exists as calcium freely soluble ions and then bound to form organic molecule.
Vitamin B12 acts as cofactor for the hormones, proteins and lipid. It is also involved in the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine.
