Pain occurs when the noxious stimulus transmits to the brain by the nociceptors and central nervous system. Pain is intense stimuli.
Nimesulide and paracetamol helps to reduce pain, fever and discomfort.
This composition works by blocking the activity of certain substances and chemicals that causes pain, inflammation, redness, swelling.
Both of these reduces the sprains and strains of joints & muscles.

Nimesulide acts selectively for cox-2 enzyme and is belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Nimesulide has anti-pyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory.

Paracetamol is also falling under category of NSAIDS and it is considered as first line therapy for the treatment of mild to moderate pain.
Paracetamol is commonly used to treat fever.
PCM is used as adjunct therapy with opioid analgesics. It lowers the risk of allergic reactions.

The product is generally considered safe when taken in recommended doses however common side effects include stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache.

Mechanism of Action-

Nimesulide inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and prevent the release of oxidants from the neutrophils.
Paracetamol has analgesic effect which is mediated by activation of serotonergic pathways. It mainly inhibits the cox-1 and cox-2 enzymes.

  • Vomiting

  • Contraindicated in liver disorders
  • Contraindicated in renal impairment
  • Contraindicated in undernutrition

  • Guaiphenesin may interact with duloxetine, phenylephrine and albuterol.
  • The risk or severity of hypertension can be increased when Levosalbutamol is combined with 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-ethylthioamphetamine and 1-benzylimidazole.
  • The serum concentration of Ambroxol can be decreased when it is combined with Cenobamate, Pitolisant and Ritonavir.
