VARNAC-T

This combination is mainly used to reduce spasms caused due to strain and sprain or by some muscle injuries.

Aceclofenac is the analog of diclofenac and belongs to the category non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, it helps in the reduction of pain and inflammation.

Thiocolchicoside is the semi-synthetic derivative of colchine. It is obtained naturally from the plant seeds known as superba gloriosa. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions. Thiocolchicoside has muscle relaxant property and is used to treat painful conditions.

Mechanism of Action-

Aceclofenac blocks the action of enzymes cyclooxygenases which causes the production of prostaglandins and thromboxane’s both are inflammatory mediators.
Thiocolchicoside prevents the contraction of muscles by binding with GABA-A receptors which are known as inhibitory neurotransmitters.
